"I'm a dreadmaker based in the Netherlands. I've been having my
dreadbusiness for a few years now and I'm specialised in natural,
but creative crocheted dreads.
I'm participating because I obviously love being able to support
the cause, the Sophie Lancaster Foundation."

"I feel really happy to be a part of this project, the Supporting Sophie charity not only supports the important
cause of respecting diversity and raising awareness about protecting subcultures from prejudice and violence,
it does a very good job of it too. What happened to Sophie and her partner was abhorrent and and losing her life
simply because she expressed herself through her appearance is something that should not happen in this world.
I am Shedandy and I make synthetic dreadlocks and costume accessories. I am pretty passionate about
artistic expression of self and creating products like these gives me great joy,
I hope whoever purchases my set enjoys that same joy. Much love, from Shedandy."

I've been involved in the alternative hair community for over a decade,
and experimenting with the art of it personally for almost as long. I have been designing
both synthetic and wool dreads under the Imp And Petal brand since 2009,
and slowly adding more skills along the way. I love this job, I love this community,
and I am so, so proud to be involved in this event.

"I started making dreads 4 years ago when I bought my first set- it was awful!
I decided I didn't want other people to have the same first experience
I did and so learnt to make them myself. I love what I do and making
beautiful things for other people is all I could ask for. ^-^"

"I'm one of the few german dreadmakers, based in Leipzig.
The synthetic dread community is really small in Germany,
so my job is to make the option of synthetic dreads more popular here,
not just in the goth subculture I do mostly crochet dreads,
which I spice up with braids and wraps!"

"Newly relocated to Denver, CO, I fashion custom, high-quality fantasy jewelry
and accessories, specializing in wire-wrapped elf ear cuffs, but over time
I have ventured into the realms of necklaces, bracelets, claw rings, masks, and more.
With my art, I hope to bring some of the "other" and fantastical into people's lives,
allowing them to more freely and easily express their own inner magical selves."
